Fundraising and Facility
Design
- Assist organization in analyzing fund development needs
- Identify facility needs for capital improvements or
create new facility design
- Outline fundraising methods targeted for organization's mission and donors
- Create a detailed fund development plan based on diversifying the organization's funding base and best provisions for continuous funding
- Develop an evaluation component to measure
organization's effectiveness
- Determine and make recommendations on volunteer leadership involvement including identifying a committee and fundraising chair.
- Serve as a consultant to the campaign and as a resource to the executive management and volunteer leadership.
- Conduct a historical needs analysis and develop and present the resulting case statement for the campaign.
- Determine fundraising goal; how many gifts are needed at what size and project the number of donor prospects realized to reach the goal.
- Review the current donor file and donation history to help determine the size of gift requests for major donors.
- Work with the campaign chair and committee to develop prospects for funding and rate these prospects.
- Research local and national prospects for funding and strategize with leadership on the best approach.
- Develop named giving opportunities which recognize donors, maximize and increase giving.
- Develop strategies for the President and committee in securing lead gifts.
- Support the campaign leadership on a regular basis to review campaign progress; determine next steps, dates for donor visits, and coordinate other campaign activities.
- Review current internal systems for recording information about each donor and gift prospect and develop a master reporting format to track all prospects.
- Give guidance on the preparation for campaign proposals to meet foundation guidelines and suggest follow-up strategies for submitted proposals to donors.
- Assist with the design of and budget for donor recognition items and opening/celebration events.
- Work with architects or interior space planners on placement of plaques, and other donor recognition.
- Provide executive coaching to management staff on fundraising as requested.
